Brooke Foundation for Health and Education Initiative (BFHEI) is a non-profit community-based organization located in Butogota Town Council, Kanungu District, South-Western Uganda.
Situated just 1.8km from the DRC border, we serve a population of over 20,000 including Ugandan nationals and Congolese refugees. Our project treats every patient with professional, affordable, and holistic care.
To improve the general health and education standards of people in Greater Kayonza and neighbouring communities through essential medical care and skills training.

Retired UK teacher Doreen Brooke co-founded BFHEI after seeing the deprivation in rural Uganda. Her vision is a community where healthcare is a baseline for every individual.
Medical Officer (MBChB)
Raised in Kanungu, Dr. Denis is dedicated to giving back to his community. He provides high-quality, holistic healthcare irrespective of gender, age, or socioeconomic status.
