Brooke Foundation for Health and Education Initiative (BFHEI) is a non-profit, community-based organization located in Butogota Town Council, Greater Kayonza, Kanungu District, South-Western Uganda.
Our project offices are situated approximately 1.8 kilometres from the Democratic Republic of Congo border, allowing us to serve both Ugandan communities and a significant population of Congolese refugees.
To improve the general health and education standards of people in Greater Kayonza and neighbouring communities.

"I’m a retired teacher living in Scarborough, a seaside town in UK. Throughout my life all I’ve ever wanted to do is to make a difference to the lives of others and help them realise their dreams or simply have a better life."
I tried to inspire my students to achieve their very best. So when I visited Uganda and saw how desperately deprived some communities were, I felt I could possibly make a difference.
The building of this hospital is just the beginning. There is so much more to be achieved through education of girls, women, families etc. The possibilities are great.

Born and raised in southwestern Uganda, Kanungu District, Buhoma town council neighboring Bwindi national park. With 7 years of experience in the medical field, Dr. Denis brings immense dedication and passion to his work.
His mission is deeply rooted in giving back to his less privileged community, offering high quality, professional, affordable and holistic healthcare to all individuals irrespective of gender, age, race and socioeconomic status.
